Israel vs. the World

World War III? I don’t know…maybe.

According to the AP, Mahmoud Komati, a senior Hezbollah official said "The truth is — let me say this clearly — we didn't even expect (this) response ... that (Israel) would exploit this operation for this big war against us."

Let me state a few random things:

Isaiah 10:34: And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

What mighty one could Isaiah be talking about? The United States?

Further in Isaiah 41:15 referring to Israel he says, Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

Isaiah was describing a special bulldozer machine that Israel deploys infront of their tanks in every war since the 6 day war of 1967 which was, quite frankly, a miracle.

God will defend Israel every single time! We must always side with Israel!

I hope there is no ceasefire. I hope this war continues until there is no Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Gunfire on Border

Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said 200 to 300 shots were fired from automatic weapons Wednesday night...

The shooting appeared to have started in Mexico, at a riverside ranch owned by a family from Donna, Texas. Two brothers said they were with their father at the ranch when vehicles full of armed men drove in and opened fire, killing a ranch hand and taking their father hostage.

The brothers hid for several hours in a field before swimming across the river. They called their mother from a cell phone, who called 911. The mother said someone may have been killed, and police and the Border Patrol initially went to the river bank to search for a body. Once there, the gunfire began" (AP).

Probably a drug related incident. I still find it hard to believe that only 10 States have signed commitments to send Natl. Guard troops to the border. Then I hear we have Karl Rove dining with law-breakers. What the hell is happening to my country?

North Korean Clowns

Even with the embarrasing failure of its July Fourth missile tests, North Korea rightly gets some heat from the Bush administration. And of course, not to appear weak, some tough talk from North Korea:

"Our military will continue missile launch drills as part of measures to bolster self-defense capabilities like this time, and (we) will have no option but to take stronger physical actions of other forms, should any other country dare take issue with the exercises and put pressure on it," a government statement said.

North Korea also said it would retaliate for any efforts to impose restrictions on its missile tests, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

And some tough talk from the UN:

The European Union, NATO, Australia, and a host of countries condemned the tests, which took place after US military satellites observed the preparations for more than a month and after leaders around the world warned against such an action. Some analysts believe the tests were part of developing a delivery system for a nuclear weapon, which North Korea openly says it is developing to protect itself from attack.

Of course this means nothing:

Japan circulated a draft of a Security Council resolution that calls the tests a ``threat to international peace" and urges nations around the world to ``prevent the transfer of financial resources, items, materials, goods, and technology" that might benefit North Korea's weapons programs, according to a copy of the proposal.

The United States and Britain backed the resolution, but Russia and China appeared reluctant to endorse it.

But Kim Jong Il already knew that.

Independent Lieberman?

According to ABC News, Senator Joe Lieberman may run as an independent if he doesn't win the primaries.

I think Lieberman's decision to potentially run as an independent has the real potential to take significant amounts of votes from both the Democratic and Republican candidates.

It's obvious; moderate Democrats, religious Democrats, upset Republicans, and the GOP's apparent incompetence put tons of votes up for grabs. Lieberman has to play it right, and he could very well decide the next President. Though I doubt he has a chance of winning. But he has my support with such a decision, and perhaps my vote considering the probable nominees.

Yeah, it is still early to say much, but a McCain vs. Hillary would make me consider voting Lieberman. Or I'll just vote libertarian. Whoever the hell that would be.

Mexican Recount, Calderon to Win?

In my updated previous post, with over 95% of the votes counted, Calderon has a narrow lead, and apparently has already claimed victory, along with Commie AMLO. Mexico to recount.

From Bloomberg:

Mexican election authorities will conduct a recount to determine who won yesterday's presidential vote, with nearly complete returns showing former Energy Minister Felipe Calderon in front by the slimmest of margins.

Calderon, of President Vicente Fox's National Action Party, had 36.45 percent of the vote, followed by former Mexico City Mayor Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador with 35.4 percent, based on 96 percent of ballots counted. The two candidates, separated by 392,728 votes, both declared victory. A recount will start July 5, and authorities will say that night how long it may last. The electoral court has until Aug. 31 to decide any challenges.

From the London Times:

Moments after the Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) said that a vote-by-vote recount would be necessary to determine Mexico's next president, Felipe Calderon, the conservative candidate of the ruling National Action Party, and Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the leftist, former mayor of Mexico City, both said they had won.

"We have no doubt that we have won the presidential election," Señor Calderon told supporters after a night of growing tension in Mexico City, which prompted the outgoing president, Vicente Fox, and the head of the IFE to appear on television, urging both sides to respect the electoral process.

"Smile: we’ve already won," Señor Lopez Obrador told cheering members of his Democratic Revolution Party in the city's Zocalo plaza.

Oh boy!
In other news, Al gore was said to have submitted himself to physciatric care upon vivid and painful memory-related hallucinations.

So we will know in August. But I'm sure there will be updates.

Mexico Election Update III

It's too close to call with a predicition below.

From the Washington Times:

The standoff will lead to days of political uncertainty until enough votes are counted by the official Federal Electoral Institute (IFE) to declare a clear winner.

But enthusiastic backers of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador honked their car horns and crowded into the capital's main square, where they hoped to hear that Mexico had spurned the conservatives in favor of a champion of the poor.

Across the city, supporters of National Action Party (PAN) candidate Felipe Calderon had been holding their breath to hear if the country was going to join Latin America's shift to the left, or remain on the rocky road to free-trade capitalism.

But IFE head Luis Carlos Ugalde said even after 7,000 polling stations' results had been added up, the race was too close to call and full election results would not be released until Wednesday.

And from the AP:

With 9 percent of the vote counted, Calderon had 40 percent of the vote, compared to 35 percent for Lopez Obrador and 19 percent for Madrazo, the Federal Electoral Institute reported.

At least when Al Gore and George W. Bush argued over who won, they did it in private, over the telephone. But tonight, in a remarkable display of political machismo, the two men who would be Mexico's next president both declared they had in fact won.

Basically it's too close for anybody to call, so I'll make a prediction:

Televiso ran a story arguably sponsoring AMLO on election day, throwing the nation into a prolonged election freeze, riots, and more drug wars in the midst of Madrazo's claims of election fraud and blackmail from AMLO's goons. There's more; the votes from the 10 million Mexicans residing in the U.S. illegally have been confiscated by the National Guard who overstepped their bounds in actually doing something which resulted in the alleged heart attack of a Calderon supporter in Border Control's custody causing the votes to be held for evidence in the ACLU's case vs. the United States Government, where in a press release the ACLU demanded an end to the U.S. practice of torture and discrimination against undocumented workers. In light of this Hugo Chavez has offered to console Mexico with low cost heating oil in July, and Castro felt compelled to offer rice-cookers as a way to show solidarity with the Mexican people.

And the winner is...

Al Gore, he ends up producing a successful documentary about it.

But really it's still too close to call.

UPDATE:
Felipe Calderon is in the lead with 36.37% of the vote followed by AMLO with 35.4% of the vote with 97.26% reporting. Masrazo trails with 21.52%. (Azteca via Gateway Pundit)

As for the Senate, the more conservative PAN party is leading gathering 33.92% of the votes.

Mexico Election Update II

Not much going on now, the poll numbers still show a very close race with Commie Obrador ahead by 2%.

But until tomorrow or when the votes are tallied, or when there is a clear victor, you can read up on the candidates. I'm rooting for a miracle, but I'll settle for anybody but the two Communists, especially Obrador.
