Gitmo Suicides

The prisoners aren't stupid, they know in an act of martyrdom, securing themselves 72 virgins, suicide would bring scrutiny and criticism to the United States during the war. Mass suicide would multiply the effect, potentially hindering the war effort.

But what kind of criticism do we get:

The camp holds 460 foreigners, most captured in Afghanistan. Before Saturday, 23
prisoners had made 41 suicide attempts, which rights advocates call evidence of
despair and isolation.

Despair and Isolation???And in a prison of all places! Gimme a break. I realize why we separated from Europe and fought for our independence.
