This is good, yet another great use for the internet, a link will be provided as soon as possible...

Border Control By Web Cam ...
So, fearless Governor Rick Perry of Texas wants to let us watch illegal aliens streaming across the border, from the comfort of our own p.c's ...
From the BBC:
Let me get this straight. So, you're watching the border cam on your pc, and you spot a bunch of coyotes cross the border with illegals, ... and you can pick up the phone and call up who? Border Patrol? Your neighbor? Brian Bonner ... ?
Actually, it might be fun. If you've got a big computer screen, you could invite your friends over for cocktails, and watch the illegals. As a matter of fact, there's a possibility here to devise a drinking game!
The toll free number's a nice touch, since we're sure as heck going to be paying plenty for the rest of it.
Ree-C Murphy's writing about the plan over at the LST's; He (Perry) may be trying to put some distance between himself and the President, but he is moving the wrong way (wherever that may be) ... more ...
Of course, the plan still has to get through the Texas Lege. I'm not sure that they're still in session. (We don't let them meet too often, and when they do, they tend to go a little out of pocket, if not out of their minds)
Incidentally, the BBC reported that our Senate has passed a law, without explaining that the bill still has to go through the House, and be signed by the President. That's nice, since the rest of the world also picks up the BBC, and the article's like a big green light to anyone, anywhere, who's always wanted to come to the USA.
I'll probably be voting for Rick Perry. He did okay during the hurricanes last year, although most of his actions consisted of getting local authorities what they needed and staying out of the way. Kinky's fun, and my son will be voting for him, but I don't think he's a serious candidate. Carol Keaton Strayhorn's changed parties too often.
We don't usually let our state governor do too much, anyway; the Lt. Governor traditionally pulls most of the strings. In this case, it's David Dewhurst, who's planning to spend gobs of money on public education while lowering property taxes. Remember, though, if he gets your e-mail, he'll spam you with political messages. I speak from experience.
Click to the CoalitionBlog for the latest and freshest on illegal immigration reform. InMuscatine has a really fun article titled "Panderers R Us." ViolenceWorker's also writing about how a California Dem doesn't see the need for Latino voters to have papers; actually, he scooped that story this weekend (sorry VW -- there are mornings when I can't read!) And Debbie describes how words speak for themselves about Immigration ignorance over at RightTruth... maybe here in Texas, we'll soon be able to read the Coalition blog while simultaneously watching illegals waltz across the border, via web cam :: sigh::
Anyway, don't forget that tomorrow's June 6th -- D-day for the Capitol. Brian urges:

Remember, if our elected representatives don't hear from us, all they'll know about is massive pro-illegal immigration newsclips, and other Beltway nonsense

From the BBC:
A US state is to enlist web users in its fight against illegal immigration by offering live surveillance footage of the Mexican border on the internet. Now, won't that be a good time?
The plan will allow web users worldwide to watch Texas' border with Mexico and phone the authorities if they spot any apparently illegal crossings...

The cameras will cost $5m (£2.7m) to install and will be trained on sections of the 1,000-mile (1,600km) border known to be favoured by illegal immigrants.Well, I think it might be an entertaining excercise, and I'll give Gov. Perry an "I" for ingenuity. You could kind of call it do-it-yourself border control, but alot of Texans are in fact self-starters anyway, and it could work if the laws inside our borders were enforced (which they're not).
Web users who spot an apparently illegal crossing will be able to alert the authorities by telephoning a number free of charge

Everyone of us can pass out postcards to people we work with, friends, family, customers and even strangers. Postcards have a lower cost of postage as well. But we are not going to stop there, On June 6th (D-Day) we will call, email and fax the capitol as well. Not just your elected cockroaches but also Frist and Hastert.Easy contact information
