According to South Korean intelligence, at least that's what the AP says, North Korea may be preparing for another nuclear test.
Doesn't seem advantageous for Kim Jong-il right now, but then again, he's a bit unpredictable, and then again, South Korean intel reports have been contradictory..."It is clear there are movements at Punggye-ri after the (previous) nuclear test," one military official was quoted as saying. "We are closely monitoring to see if these are preparations for a second nuclear test."
This story itself is rather wishy-washy, I don't even know why I'm posting on it. Oh well, should anything come of this it will be more of the voluminous proof that the UN is ineffective -to say the least.
...Meanwhile, more unidentified South Korean government officials said they are trying to confirm whether a new facility that has been built at the site could be part of preparations for a second nuclear test, the JoongAng Ilbo newspaper reported Saturday.
