Fred Thompson announcement video

I had high hopes for Mr. Thompson, and I suppose filling an announcement video up with talking points and nothing specific is par for the course. I wont bore you with that video, but here's the video of Thompson on Leno:



I don't know his strategy here on the Tonight show if there even is one, whether it's creating the impression of a guy you can sit down and have a beer with, or bringing a level of comfort and casualness in contrast to the awkward stiffs on the Republican debates. And yet I find myself disappointedly unenthusiastic.
